Croatian striker Josip Ivancic signed a two-year deal with Hanoi FC on Tuesday.

Before joining Hanoi, Ivancic had played all over Europe, notably for Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol, where he made his UEFA Champions League debut and scored one goal. Ivancic also played in the UEFA Europa League for Bosnian club Zrinjski Mostar for whom he scored thrice.

"I'm happy to play for a strong club like Hanoi FC. The local players here are the best in Vietnam and playing with them is an honor. I hope that I can contribute my best to bring victories and titles to the club. I have had valuable experiences in Champions League and Europa League and hopefully, they will be helpful. I can't wait to play my first game here," Ivancic said.

In his career, Ivancic boasts 276 appearances, 50 goals and 20 assists. With an impressive height of 1.93 meters, he is expected to be the destination for crosses into the box.

Hanoi are also working on a new deal with key player Nguyen Quang Hai, expected to complete in the next few days.
