Head coach Park Hang-seo affirmed Vietnam would play total attacking football to secure a win against Cambodia in the last AFF Cup group stage game Sunday.

"Cambodia have won one and lost two games. Their mentality got a boost from winning against Laos. They have their own playing style, which is impressive. They have scored in every game. I don't know if they will play like that tomorrow. I'm afraid if they play defensively like Indonesia, it would be difficult for Vietnam to score. At the moment, I only plan for Vietnam to play total attacking football," Park told a press conference Saturday.

Vietnam are second in group B with seven points like Indonesia but scored less goals. The team will enter the semifinals if they don't lose against Cambodia, who have already been eliminated.

"I always discuss the game plan with the players and assistants. We know that our opponents often play defensively because Vietnam always have more possession. We have sat down together and planned out the solutions for such situations," Park said.

In group A, Thailand and Singapore have already advanced. One of them would be Vietnam's opponent if the team makes it to the semifinals.

"Vietnam haven't advanced to the semifinals so the opponent in the next round is not important. What matters most is that the players give their best against any opponent. I don't really care much [about the next opponent]. The key is to put in the effort," Park added.

Vietnam have won all eight of their encounters with Cambodia since 1995. Their biggest win against Cambodia was in AFF Cup 2002, where they claimed a 9-2 victory.

The game between Vietnam and Cambodia will take place at 7:30 pm. (Hanoi time) on Sunday and will be reported live on VnExpress International.
