The Asian Football Confederation will give financial aid and bonuses to the teams that have qualified for the 2023 Asian Cup, including Vietnam.

To help them compete, it will provide $200,000 to each of the 12 teams that have qualified for the continental tournament in China by advancing to the third qualifying round of the World Cup.

The four teams that advance to the semifinals will get bonuses of $1 million.

The winner and runner-up will get $5 million and $3 million.

Vietnam advanced to the final round of the World Cup Asian qualifiers recently, which automatically sent them to the Asian Cup.

At the last Asian Cup in 2019 Vietnam had entered the last eight.

The upcoming edition will be hosted by China from June 16 to July 16, 2023. It will feature 24 teams.
