After Southeast Asian fans cast their vote, AFF Cup announced captain Que Ngoc Hai made its all-time XI squad.

Hai, one of the top defenders and national team captain of Vietnam, shared the honor with other famous players from across the region.

In the backline with Hai are Singaporean center-back Baihakki Khaizan, right-back Daniel Bennett and Thai left-back Theerathon Bunmathan.

In the midfield are Thailand’s Chanathip Songkrasin, two Malaysians, Safee Sali and Safiq Rahim, along with Singapore's Hariss Harun.

The two forwards in the XI are Indonesia’s Bambang Pamungkas and Thailand’s Teerasil Dangda.

In the goalkeeper position is Kawin Thamsatchanan of Thailand.

Thailand and Singapore are the two most successful nations in the tournament with five and four titles, respectively.

Vietnam have won AFF Cup twice, in 2008 and 2018. Hai captained the team in the 2018 tournament.

The next AFF Cup event will be held in Singapore from Dec. 5 to Jan. 1. Vietnam, the defending champions, are in group B with Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Laos.
