BG Pathum United FC, champions of Thai League 1, have sent an offer to Viettel FC to sign Nguyen Hoang Duc on loan for the next season.

The offer was sent to Viettel, the 2020 V. League champions, on Friday. Pathum want to negotiate and bring Duc to the club as soon as possible.

During the AFC Champions League 2021 group stage in June, Viettel played two matches with Pathum, during which Duc’s impressive performance caught the eye of Pathum’s head coach.

The Thai club want to sign Duc on loan for a season. Recently, they also contacted Duc via text.

The 2021-2022 Thai League season has concluded two rounds, with clubs able to start signing new players from Jan. 8, 2022. If Viettel accept the offer, Duc would go to Thailand after playing AFF Cup, which will take place from Dec. 5, 2021 to Jan. 1, 2022.

Pathum initially sought to have Duc go to Thailand in November to train with the team.

Pathum are lacking a creative midfielder with great skills and Duc will be a fine addition to their squad. Therefore, the chance for Duc to be a regular starter is high.
