A South Korean coach is set to join Hanoi FC before their next V. League game, but his identity will remain under wraps until Tuesday.

This is the second time the club is changing managers this season after sacking Chu Dinh Nghiem and replacing him with former national team coach Hoang Van Phuc just this month.

At the same time, they reached an agreement with the South Korean coach, who finished his two-week quarantine in Vietnam on April 10.

He will begin his stint with a tough match against league leaders Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) on April 18.

HAGL have won their last six matches, while Hanoi, after losing two games in a row, have dropped to ninth.

The latter recently lost key players like midfielder Do Hung Dung and Brazilian striker Bruno Cantanhede to injuries, captain Nguyen Van Quyet and defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh have had to sit out a few games due to suspension, and other key players like Brazilian striker Geovane Magno, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai and defender Tran Dinh Trong have just returned from injury and are yet to get back into their groove.
