According to the organizers, Sahako doctors had noticed some Covid-19 symptoms among players, so they decided not to come to the tournament arena, prompting the match to be postponed.
Sources said a communication staff of Zetbit Saigon had contracted Covid-19 and spread it to Sahako players.
Organizers will test all tournament participants and make a subsequent decision on commencement.
Sahako is leading the championship with 26 points, while Zetbit Saigon is third with one point. The highly anticipated game was set to kick off at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The national futsal championship began its second leg on Nov. 15. All games are played at Thai Son Nam Arena in District 8, Ho Chi Minh City. All players and members competed in a Covid-19 bubble, which means the teams are only allowed to stay at their hotels and travel to the training ground and arena.
