Park Hang-seo has decided to move defender Nguyen Thanh Binh to the U22 team after a slew of mistakes in the China clash.

Binh, 21, is the youngest member in the national team. He was subbed in for center-back Bui Tien Dung in the 72nd minute but made three mistakes and let Wu Lei score two goals for China that brought them the win on Friday (Hanoi time).

After the game, Park defended Binh and took full responsibility for the defeat. However, he still decided to move Binh to the U22 team, along with midfielder Le Van Xuan. The team have just arrived in the UAE to prepare for the U23 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Park still kept three U22 players on the national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifying match with Oman. The three players will gather with the U22 team after the match.

Vietnam are last in group B, after losing 1-3 to Saudi Arabia, 0-1 to Australia and 2-3 to China. They will play Oman on Oct. 12.

The U22 team will play a friendly with Tajikistan on Oct. 11 and Kyrgyzstan on the 17th. They will play the U23 Asian Cup qualifiers in late October, against Taiwan and Myanmar.
