In the final on Sunday, Nam, ranked 447th, defeated Czech player Dominik Palan (637th) 2-0 to win his second M15 Tay Ninh.
In just two weeks, Nam has won three titles. Last Saturday, he won the men's doubles event when paired with Filipino Francis Alcantara before winning the men's singles event Sunday, which helped him accumulate 15 points on the ranking. Including another 15 points he earned from the first M15 Tay Ninh, Nam now has 106 points and is set to return to the top 400 in the latest ranking update.
Nam will continue competing in another M15 Tay Ninh event this week. Should he win again, Nam will get past his career-high ranking in 2018, which was 385th.
At SEA Games 31 hosted in Vietnam last month, Nam claimed the gold medal in the men’s singles event.
