I was bullied at school, and it was a nightmare

I was among my class’s top 3 students, but I dropped to the bottom in the ranking after I was relentlessly picked on.

I was bullied from primary school to the end of secondary school.

I was the fattest boy in my class, and also the quietest. That made me a perfect target for teasing. My classmates beat me, and they gave me an offensive nickname.

Days after day, they called me with that name. Sometimes, they chased me and shouted the name, as if that was something fun. The worst thing was that they sometimes caught me and stomped on my face.

I was in deep crisis. I dropped from a top 3 student to near the bottom of the class.

I tried resisting my bullies once, to no avail.

And what's even worse was that my teachers seemed like they couldn’t care less about my problem. My parents were so angry they came to school and slapped my classmates, which only made them bully me more when my parents were not there.

It was like a nightmare having to drag myself to school every day.

Eventually, I decided not to take the exam to enter our local public high school in order to avoid seeing my bullying classmates again. I went to a small private school far from home instead.

What I am trying to say is that parents need to teach their children to fight bullies and protect themselves. Then the attackers need to be dealt with thoroughly by our institutions.

If you cannot do these things, you need to find your children a new school. Don't let them spend their childhood in tears, like I did.
