In second place was Sa Pa in the northern highlands on 33%, followed by Nha Trang on the central coast with 30%, according to the study by Milieu Insight, a consumer research firm focusing on Southeast Asia.
The company surveyed 2,500 people across the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia to find out their summer travel plans this year.
Nearly two-thirds of Vietnamese said they planned to take a three-to-four-day vacation this summer, the survey showed.
The top travel concerns of Vietnamese travelers were the weather, prices and a variety of places to eat.
