Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai got the top score of 5 stars in the Forbes Travel Guide 2024 awards.

Forbes Travel Guide, an American travel guide, announced its list of top hotels worldwide for 2024 in February. Vietnam has 5 hotels mentioned on this list. Two of them received 5 stars, while three others got 4 stars.

A 5-star rating is the highest recognition by Forbes Travel Guide, given to hotels that offer top-notch service and facilities.

This year, over 200 hotels and resorts worldwide have received this rating, including Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi and Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai in Quang Nam. These two hotels also received 5 stars in 2023.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, located at 15 Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, was praised by Forbes Travel Guide 2024 as a hotel that "draws deeply from a century of stories to weave a rich, nostalgic guest experience in the heart of the Vietnamese capital."

Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, located at Block Ha My Dong B, Dien Duong Ward, Dien Ban Town, in Quang Nam Province in central Vietnam, was described as "an idyllic sanctuary on a pristine white sand beach."

Three Vietnamese hotels that received 4 stars are InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Da Nang City, Park Hyatt Saigon and The Reverie Saigon from Ho Chi Minh City. They were also honored with 4 stars in 2023.

Compared to other Southeast Asian countries, Vietnam ranks 4th in the number of 5-star hotels, following Indonesia (4 hotels), Singapore (4 hotels), and Thailand (3 hotels).

To be eligible for the award, hotels must meet 900 criteria set by the organizing committee. These criteria include factors like providing quality sleep environments, offering healthy food and drinks, and ensuring excellent customer service. The rating is based 70% on service and 30% on the quality of facilities.

More than 80 countries were represented by experts who anonymously booked rooms and stayed for two nights in 2023 to evaluate and vote on destinations. Only 20% of the evaluated accommodations received awards.

The Forbes Travel Guide awards have been honoring hotels, restaurants, spas, and yachts worldwide since 1958.
