The hotel was one of 12 awardees in the global list based on voting by a team of luxury hotel experts from Canada-based tour booking company Kiwi Collection, the world's most diverse curated collection of luxury hotels spanning more than 2200 facilities in 130 countries.
Other awardees were scattered around the world in France, Greece, Madagascar, Maldives, Morocco, Portugal, South Korea and Tanzania.
Zannier Hotels Bai San Ho is home to 71 villas covering around 98 hectares (242 acres). Facing a long white sand beach, the hotel is said to have drawn inspiration from local ethnic minority groups and nearby fishing villages in constructing three different types of Vietnamese-influenced villas.
Bishop's Lodge in New Mexico was named the winner of the 'Best New hotel' category while Soneva Jani in Maldives won the ‘Best Sustainable Luxury Hotel’ category.
Signiel Seoul in South Korea won the ‘Best Gourmet Getaway’ category.
Last year, Zannier Hotels Bai San Ho topped the most romantic hotel category at the National Geographic's annual Hotel Awards.
