Phu Quoc, Vietnam's largest island, is a haven for street food lovers, with wallet-friendly options available from roadside vendors. Even though hostel rates might be slightly higher than those on the mainland due to demand, they still represent a more economical choice compared to other renowned island destinations.

In recent years Phu Quoc has invested in modern amusement parks, cable car systems and safari experiences, enhancing its appeal to travelers.

The Canadian publication also recommends a number of attractions like Sao Beach, Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc, Hon Thom Departure Terminal, Suoi Tranh Waterfall, and Vin Wonders Phu Quoc.

Phu Quoc lets foreign visitors stay visa-free for up to 30 days. Its international airport has flights to destinations around the world.

Situated to the south of the mainland in the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quoc has the distinction of being Vietnam's first island city.

Its peak tourism season is from November to April, when it is dry.

It comprises a chain of pristine islands like Mong Tay, Gam Ghi and May Rut that is characterized by clear waters and offering a wide range of experiences such as scuba diving to explore coral reefs, fishing, squid fishing, and water sports.

At the top of the list are Unguja in Tanzania followed by Bermuda in the Atlantic Ocean.

It also includes Aruba in the Caribbean, Bohol and Boracay in the Philippines, Sifnos and Ios in Greece, Oahu in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Koh Phi Phi in Thailand, and Malta.
