A hotel in the ancient city of Hoi An adorned all 80 of its balconies with the national flag to celebrate Vietnam's Reunification Day (April 30).

Luong Quy Nhan, manager of Son Hoi An Boutique Hotel & Spa on Dao Duy Tu Street, said the hotel did this to create an impression on foreign tourists.

Dutch tourist Van Der Haar who stayed at the hotel during the Reunification Day holidays, said the way the flags were hung "was very unique."

"I was surprised and excited; [it] was very beautiful."

" I received a friendly and enthusiastic welcome. I will visit Vietnam again."

Many foreign tourists were curious about the flags hung on the balconies and asked the hotel’s employees about the meaning of Vietnam’s Reunification Day, Nhan said.

During the holidays 80% of the rooms were booked by foreigners.
