Stir Bar in Ho Chi Minh City was the only Vietnamese representative to break into the 2022 Asia 100 best bar list compiled by industry experts.

Located on Le Thanh Ton Street in District 1, Stir ranked 84th on the list compiled by William Reed Business Media, a leading magazine and digital media company headquartered in the U.K.

The 2022 list is created from bar experiences across the voting period between June 2020 and January 2022, inclusive of those in voters' home city or country.

Stir is open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. and has a small and cozy space suitable for couples, with prices from VND250,000 ($11) per person.

The bar offers a wide range of classic cocktails prepared by famed mixologists who have received two prestigious awards: "World Class Vietnam 2019 Champion" and "World Cocktail Battle 2019 Champion."

"Asia continues to prove itself as a region for impressive craft cocktails. Asian countries with an emerging craft cocktail scene to watch out for hotspots like Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Nepal," said Mark Sansom, director of content for the rankings.

This year, Coa in Hong Kong was named the best bar in Asia, followed by Singapore's Jigger & Pony and Hong Kong's Argo.

Last year, Ne Cocktail & Wine Bar in Hanoi, Summer Experiment on Ly Tu Trong Street in HCMC's District 1 and Hybrid in the central beach town of Nha Trang made it into the list.

HCMC, Vietnam's southern metropolis, reopened bars, karaoke parlors and dance clubs on Jan. 10 after a long time of closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
