HCMC among world's top 10 New Year's destinations

Authorities in HCMC will organize a high-altitude firework display at downtown’s Saigon River Tunnel on Dec. 31 to ring in the Gregorian New Year.

Another low-range firework show is slated to take place at Dam Sen Cultural Park in District 11.

Each New Year’s Eve firework display will last for 15 minutes.

In addition to fireworks, a series of countdown parties will be held on Nguyen Hue pedestrian street from 8 p.m. on Dec. 31.

In previous years, thousands of people flocked to Nguyen Hue Boulevard and other downtown areas in the city to attend countdown events and watch fireworks performances.

To compile the list, Agoda used ChatGPT 4.0 to identify the list of travel destinations used on the first draft of the release.

Midjourney AI was used to generate an image depicting multiple scenic New Years’ Eve destinations from around the world.

Other destinations on the list included Tokyo, Sydney or New York.
