Hanoi weekend features ao dai festival, multicultural extravaganza

Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023

The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2023 is happening this weekend at Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street. The festival, themed "Discovering Hanoi's Beauty," aims to showcase the spirit of the times and the love for the traditional Vietnamese attire, the ao dai.

The festival features various activities, with a special evening of art and music on Oct. 28 at the Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden. This event includes songs celebrating Hanoi, combining light art, music, and ao dai performances ranging from traditional to modern.

From 6 p.m. on Oct. 27 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 29, there will be an exhibition showcasing a photographic documentary. The festival will set up more than 60 designed booths along Dinh Tien Hoang Street, in front of the Ly Thai To monument, and Le Thach Street, where ao dai collections from designers across the country will be on display.

The event will also offer information, promotions, and introductions to tours, routes, products, and tourism services provided by airlines, travel agencies, hotels, and destinations.

The event is scheduled to take place at Hoan Kiem Lake Walking Street. Admission is free.

Autumn Artisans Market

H'ART Co. is organizing the Autumn Artisans Market at ARCH. Cafe, nestled by West Lake. The event offers a serene setting for coffee sipping, reading, and socializing with friends. Visitors can also explore a market featuring handcrafted and imported items. Enjoy engaging activities such as figurine and canvas painting, as well as Halloween-themed festivities.

Please note that attendees wearing Halloween costumes have the chance to win discounts or complimentary beverages at ARCH.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29, and will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will take place at ARCH. Cafe at 143 Nhat Chieu Street, Tay Ho District.

SiaM vol. 29: Kite Flying

SiaM vol. 29, "Kite Flying," is a musical journey celebrating the concept of home. In SiaM vol. 29, the audience will be introduced to the beauty of Vietnam through a symphony of woodwind instruments.

The concert will occur at two distinct venues and times. The first night is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Oct. 27, at Middle Cafe, 55 Ma May Street, Hoan Kiem District. The second night will take place at 8 p.m. on Oct. 28, at Tita Art, 164A Tran Vu Street, Ba Dinh District.

Tickets are priced at VND300,000 ($12) per person. Tickets are available by signing up using this link. The event is suitable for individuals aged 8 and above.

COMPLEX 01 presents "COMPLEX Fest - Everything, Everywhere, All at Once", a multifaceted cultural event. This event offers a rich array of experiences that include creative fairs, fashion garage sales, craft beer, culinary delights, live music performances, and art workshops.
