The magazine advised tourists to visit the capital city's ancient Temple of Literature, the site of Vietnam's first university built in 1070.
"It's no secret that the Temple of Literature is also among the city's most stunning structures," the magazine said.
Hanoi's historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where tourists can view the embalmed body of President Ho Chi Minh, is also a must-see attraction, according to The Travel.
The magazine recommended that tourists stay at La Siesta Premium Hang Be in the Old Quarter, which is not far from tourist landmarks such as Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake.
The top-10 list also included the Tegalalang rice terraces and Nusa Islands in Indonesia, the city-state of Singapore, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, the Bolaven Plateau in Laos, Penang Island in Malaysia, Bagan in Myanmar, Koh Yao Yai in Thailand and Siargao Island in the Philippines.
