The Central Highlands town of Da Lat is expected to become the most popular tourist hotspot during the upcoming Reunification Day (April 30) and Labor Day (May 1) holidays, travel agency Booking.com says.

Da Nang beach city in central Vietnam ranked second, followed by beach resort towns Nha Trang and Vung Tau.

The rest of the list included Phu Quoc, Hue, Hoi An, Ha Long, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, based on an analysis of check-in dates between April 28 and May 7.

This year, Vietnamese will enjoy a five-day break as the Hung Kings anniversary celebration falls on April 29, which is a Saturday, and people are entitled to take two extra days off the following week to compensate for that and the Reunification Day on Sunday.

Though Da Lat is famous for its French colonial heritage and year-round cool climate in a tropical country, it is not very popular with foreign visitors due to limited transport and tourism services.
