The Resorts World One luxury cruise ship docked 1,500 foreign tourists in Nha Trang Tuesday in the first major event marking the start of Vietnam's peak international tourism season.

The passengers, mainly from France, Germany, Spain, Hong Kong and Thailand, visited the Tram Huong Tower, the Truong Son Craft Village, the Champa-built Ponagar Tower, Hon Chong Beach, Dam Market and the beachside resort destination's city center.

It was the 14th cruise ship docking in Nha Trang since earlier this year. So far Nha Trang has welcomed over 19,000 cruise passengers in 2023.

Last month, Cyprus-flagged Spectrum Of The Sea, billed as Asia's largest cruise ship, brought 4,000 foreign visitors to Nha Trang.

The peak season of international tourism season typically lasts from October until April and Western tourists flock in droves to Vietnam for their winter holiday breaks.
