I got to the airport early, but the flight was delayed, then the airline changed the boarding gate, causing me to miss my flight.

I have suffered three major flight delays without receiving a single apology. I want to tell you about my most recent experience of missing a flight because of the delay.

Last Sunday, I prepared to take a 3 p.m. flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. I went to the airport early.

When I got there, I looked at the notice board and saw that the flight was delayed by 50 minutes. I looked for a place to lie down, and when it was almost time to board the plane, I went to gate 7 to board and saw the announcement to move to gate 2.

I ran down to the gate and the staff said it was too late, the plane had finished loading, and they would not let me board anymore, while there were 14 minutes left until the flight time,

Besides me were 7 other passengers who were also not allowed to go on board.

I had to spend nearly VND2.5 million (US$95) to buy another ticket and I was so angry. Why is it okay for the airline to delay and the customer to pay more money?
