Widespread Facebook interface error reported

Thanh Tu, a content creator, said all her posts on her personal page have disappeared, even though she did not perform any risky action like clicking on strange links or posting sensitive content.

"Several of my customers contacted me and demanded an explanation as posts relating to their brands have disappeared from the page. I’m not sure what happened, so I’m very worried," she said.

Huy Nguyen, who sells goods online, said several people texted and called him, asking him why he locked his Facebook account.

"Some people even thought I was running from loan sharks, so they had to call and check," he said, adding that the issue is severely impacting online merchants, and yet Facebook has yet to give any explanation.

Mai Thanh Phu, an expert on social media services, said the issue began in the morning but became more prevalent by the afternoon.

On Downdetector, the number of people reporting errors related to Facebook has dramatically increased starting 10 a.m.

"People should wait for Facebook to resolve the issue, and should not panic and look for recovery services," Phu said.

Facebook representatives have not responded about the issue.

Facebook has constantly been encountering errors in recent times. Last month, several users got logged out of their Facebook and Messenger accounts and could not log back in. Facebook confirmed the problem, but did not provide an explanation for what caused it.
