A woman in Ho Chi Minh City was hospitalized on Friday after climbing an electric pole and walking along a power line 10 meters above the ground before falling.

At around 7 a.m., residents of Tay Nam Ward spotted the woman, believed to be around 50 years old, scaling a high electric pole before stepping onto the wires. Despite urgent pleas from bystanders to come down, she continued moving along the cables.

Ben Cat Electricity cut power to the 475 Tam Giac Sat line for nearly an hour to prevent electrocution.

Emergency services and local residents tried to reach her and convince her to come down safely, but their efforts failed. The woman lost her balance and fell onto the street, losing consciousness on impact.

She was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. Locals said she works as a lottery ticket vendor in the area. Authorities are investigating the incident.
