Nguyen Tuan Anh, an expert working for military-run cybersecurity firm Viettel Cyber Security, overtook 25,000 fellow white hat hackers to reach the top of Bugcrowd’s list.
Bugcrowd is a crowdsourced security platform based in the U.S. that researchers can use to discover bugs and other security vulnerabilities to win prizes. Tuan had topped the list in April as well.
Having discovered around 200 bugs and security vulnerabilities through the platform, Bugcrowd has named Tuan the Most Valuable Professional (MVP) of Bugcrowd four times.
Last year, it was Tuan who discovered 55 vulnerabilities on the E-Business Suite applications by multinational tech firm Oracle.
Computer viruses cost Vietnam over $1 billion last year, cybersecurity firm Bkav said in a January report.
