Three more arrested in Dak Lak terrorist attack

Three men who are wanted for the terrorist attack on two commune offices in Dak Lak Province were arrested 100 km away from the crime scene.

Nay Yen, 53, Nay Tam, 49 and Y Ju Nie, 55, were arrested on Saturday by the Dak Lak Province Police for their terrorist acts that aimed at people’s authorities.

Armed groups attacked two People’s Committee offices that also house police offices in Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur Communes early on June 11, resulting in nine deaths and many were injured.

Over 90 people have been arrested so far to be investigated for multiple charges, including terrorism.

Among the arrested was a member of a U.S.-based organization, who had received instructions to infiltrate Vietnam and perform the attacks, according to official sources.

Several weapons, including 23 guns, two grenades, 1,200 bullets, 15 detonators, 30 knives and 1.2 kg of explosive materials, were seized by the police after the attacks.

Authorities are searching for the remaining three fugitives who are involved in the attacks.
