Vietnam recorded three more Covid-19 deaths in HCMC Wednesday afternoon, bringing the national coronavirus fatality to 135.

One of them was an 87-year-old woman in District 8 who had diabetes. She tested positive for the coronavirus on July 4 and died on July 10. Her causes of death were pneumonia caused by Covid-19, septic shock and a heart attack.

Another patient was a 67-year-old man in Binh Chanh District who had a stroke and chronic arthritis. He tested positive on June 27 and and died on July 10. His causes of death were pneumonia caused by Covid-19, septic shock, multiple organ failure and a fungal infection.

The other patient was an 83-year-old woman in Binh Thanh District who had diabetes, dementia and a stroke. She tested positive on June 29 and died on July 12. Her causes of death were pneumonia caused by Covid-19 and septic shock.

All three were treated at the HCMC Hospital for Tropical Diseases.

So far, 100 Covid-19 patients have died in the fourth coronavirus wave that hit Vietnam in late April.
