A Taiwanese man is wanted by the HCMC police for allegedly smuggling goods into Vietnam.

The police said Saturday they are looking for Lin Yung Hsiang (also known as Lam Vinh Truong), 63, the owner of Trang Bach company, who did not inform authorities about a large amount of food and other goods he had imported through Cat Lai Port.

The goods, worth over VND600 million ($25,700), were imported despite not meeting regulations.

The police looked for Lin at his house but did not find him, and so have issued a warrant for him.
