This year, the government chose to begin the holiday one day before the official day on September 2 so that it would be spaced apart from the first day of the new school year on September 5.
As the holiday will fall on the weekend, it will be a four-day holiday in total as workers will have an extra Monday off.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs said companies and units which do not allow Saturdays and Sundays off should organize themselves accordingly.
Workers taking part in overtime or overnight work during the holiday should get at least triple their normal wages, the ministry said.
