A man from the Mekong Delta’s Bac Lieu Province made a sculptural relief from 300 kg of salt to commemorate the Vietnam salt farming festival.

The relief, spanning 25 m long and 5 m wide, features boats at sea with the sun shining above.

Ho Chi An, 43, explained that the artwork symbolizes hope for a positive future. The relief was completed in a single day by a team of eight people.

Previously, An created a "dan kim," a traditional Vietnamese musical instrument, using 600 kg of salt. The instrument, which stands 4.1 m tall and 3.5 m wide, was constructed by a team of 10 people over the course of 41 days.

The 2025 Vietnam-Bac Lieu Salt-Farming Festival will be held from March 6 to 8, welcoming over 800 guests.

Bac Lieu is the largest salt-farming region in Vietnam, with approximately 1,400 ha of salt fields.
