Two South Korean men sought by Interpol for fraud and assault and battery have been arrested in Da Nang.

An Interpol alert had been issued earlier this year for Yon Taiyi, 50, and Nam Kiwon, 51. Taiyi had allegedly committed fraud in July and Kiwon had allegedly injured other people severely in August.

On Monday, on suspicion that the fugitives were hiding in Da Nang, city police cooperated with the federal criminal police department to search for them.

They found Taiyi in an apartment in Ngu Hanh Son District, while Kiwon was caught at a homestay facility in Son Tra District.

The two men will be handed over to South Korean police at the Da Nang Airport, media reports said.
