Tuition fees among Hanoi's international schools could rise to VND807 million ($34,774) per year, excluding enrollment and canteen costs.

Hanoi has 13 international schools, defined as schools funded entirely by international investments. Their tuition fees generally rise every year.

Hanoi International School is going to retain its tuition fees from last year while most other schools will increase theirs by several dozen million dong.

British International School in Hanoi in Long Bien District’s tuition fees for secondary level range between VND705-807 million a year. When it comes to pre-school and primary school levels, the United Nations International School of Hanoi has the highest tuition fees.

Lycee Français Alexandre Yersin has the lowest tuition fees among the schools that have announced their fees, at EUR7,950 ($8,491).

The aforementioned tuition fees include a one-time payment for an entire school year. Early birds would get around 3-5 percent discount, while those who pay in individual school terms or quarters might have to pay up to 17 percent more.

International schools also have high fees for enrollment, up to $1,000 (around VND23 million). Parents also have to pay other fees like school meals, transportation and extracurricular activities.
