Four men in the north-central Ha Tinh Province are being investigated after fighting each other over a sport field inside a Covid-19 quarantine zone.

Dao Viet Anh Hao, 34, Tran Minh Thanh, 24, Phan Hai Dang, 32, and Ngo Xuan Dinh, 28, were put under house arrest by police of Huong Son District on Friday for the alleged "disturbance of public order."

The four used to work overseas before returning to Vietnam in mid-March, and were placed in a Covid-19 quarantine zone in Huong Son.

On March 30, Dinh and a friend were playing soccer when they came into conflict with some volleyball players in Hao's group. They started abusing each other verbally for control of the field. The next morning, Hao, Thanh, Dinh and Duc fought each other using sticks, pipes and their own limbs. The scuffle was eventually broken up by police.

Ha Tinh has isolated over 200 people in quarantine zones as of September.

As part of its Covid-19 prevention measures, since March, Vietnam has been performing Covid-19 tests and quarantining everyone who entered the country for 14 days.
