The blaze was discovered at around 4p.m. by some workers at the Nike supplier. They quickly moved out of the factory. Several security officers and fire trucks were sent to the location, but they were unable to put out the blaze.

With the factory using rubber and plastic as raw ingredients, the fire spread quickly throughout the building.

Workers were asked to clear as much of the area as possible to allow firefighters better access.

The Dong Nai Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department sent hundreds of firefighters and a fleet of fire trucks to put out the blaze.

The blaze was contained about 30 minutes later, saving neighboring garages from destruction.

While no lives were lost in the fire, many valuables were destroyed.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

Changshin Vietnam has operated the factory making leather goods and footwear since 1995. Approximately 40,000 people work there, making the company the largest employer in the southern province.

About four months ago, a fire broke out at the company's 1,000 square meter workshop, causing extensive damage to many buildings.
