BUV Fashion Club recently staged the Tan Vien Fashion Show, which drew more than 200 attendees and featured 50 outfits created by students from British University Vietnam (BUV) and other universities across Hanoi.

Following earlier events titled 52 and Nhi Thap Cuu, Tan Vien presented a thematic focus on fire and renewal. Organizers described the show as a continuation of the club's program of student-led fashion events, linking past, present and future through design and presentation.

All aspects of Tan Vien, from concept development and event management to garment design and stage production, were handled by BUV students.

Over a two-month period, the team developed the concept, produced the collections, and oversaw rehearsals and technical staging.

The show was organized into three chapters. The opening segment, titled "The Last Flame," referenced past trends, with designers reviving 1990s denim and other period styles.

The second chapter drew on Y2K and early-2000s hip-hop influences, presenting looks that emphasized youthful experimentation and assertive silhouettes.

Guest collections completed the program.

Cong Long, project director and president of BUV Fashion Club, said the production represented months of planning and rehearsal. He described Tan Vien as an effort to demonstrate how challenges in preparation became opportunities for learning and collaboration.

The Tan Vien Fashion Show highlighted the club's emphasis on practical experience in fashion production and showcased the creative work of emerging designers from BUV and partner institutions. The event aimed to present fashion as an ongoing cycle of reinterpretation and renewal.
