Doan Anh Quoc, 23, Nguyen Thanh Dat, 38, and Huynh Thanh Danh, 27, all Nha Trang residents, were detained on Friday as police investigated the incident.
According to police, at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday, four foreign tourists visited a bar on Nguyen Thien Thuat Street and became involved in a dispute with another foreigner.

Dat, the bar owner’s younger brother and an employee at the venue, intervened and was allegedly struck by a member of the tourist group. The bar was crowded with customers and staff at the time.
Police said Quoc then retrieved billiard cues, wooden sticks, and an iron bar from inside the premises and handed them to Dat and Danh. The three men allegedly chased and beat the tourists from inside the bar into the street.
One tourist reportedly tried to fight back but was overpowered and continued to be pursued by the group with iron rods for about 40 meters from the bar, causing a public disturbance.
After the tourists fled, the three men returned to the bar and resumed normal operations.
Video showing Quoc, Dat, and Danh chasing and attacking the tourists circulated widely on social media, drawing public attention to the case.
In statements to investigators, Quoc said none of the three were injured in the confrontation. The condition of the tourists remains unknown.
Police said they are checking hospitals in Nha Trang for any foreign nationals seeking treatment related to the incident. Authorities are also examining the scene and coordinating with relevant units to verify the identities of the four tourists as the investigation continues.
