Covid-19 death toll goes up to 29

A 66-year-old man in the central province of Quang Ngai became Vietnam’s 29th Covid-19 fatality Wednesday.

"Patient 827" had suffered for a long time from cerebrovascular problems, hypertension and chronic kidney failure.

He died Wednesday morning at the Hoa Vang Medical Center in Da Nang City.

Another Covid-19 death confirmed Wednesday was that of "Patient 758," a 36-year-old man from central Quang Nam Province.

A 56-year-old woman died Tuesday night in Da Nang of of pre-existing ailments after testing negative thrice for the novel coronavirus.

With five new Covid-19 cases confirmed Wednesday, all imported, Vietnam’s tally went up to 1,034, with 632 recoveries.

All 29 Covid-19 fatalities to date, aged 33-96, have been of people with pre-existing conditions, renal failure being the most common.
