Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 0.02% to 1,065.91 points Tuesday.

The index closed 0.20 points higher after losing 1.19 points on Monday.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) fell by 17.18% to VND11.28 trillion ($480.98 million).

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 13 tickers gain.

POW of electricity producer Petrovietnam Power Corporation and STB of Ho Chi Minh City-based lender Sacombank led, both with a 1.5% rise.

NVL of property developer Novaland Group went up 1.1% and VCB of state-owned lender Vietcombank closed 1% higher.

Thirteen blue chips fell, with VIC of private conglomerate Vingroup losing 2.8%.

Foreign investors were net sellers to the tune of VND25.51 billion, mainly selling KBC of industrial real estate developer Kinh Bac City and CTG of state-owned lender VietinBank.

The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, where mid and small caps list, was up 0.14% while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was up by 0.22%.
