Gasoline price rose slightly while diesel dropped Thursday afternoon amidst varying global rates.

The popular gasoline RON95 climbed by 1.40% to VND23,920 (&0.97) per liter. Biofuel E5 RON92 went up 1.25% to VND22,750.

Diesel price dropped 0.66% to VND20,770.

The shifts in fuel prices come against a backdrop of global market instability over the past week, driven by growing fuel stockpiles in the U.S., the Federal Reserve's steady interest rates, and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the Red Sea region.

Internationally, RON95 gasoline prices increased by 1.25% to $100.1 per barrel, while diesel saw a 1.3% reduction to $103.7 per barrel, as reported by Vietnamese officials.
