Gasoline prices on Thursday rose to the highest since Oct. 2 while diesel reached the highest since Nov. 13.

The popular fuel RON95 went up 3.25% to VND24,160 ($0.99) per liter.

Biofuel E5 RON92 rose 3.34% to VND22,910. Diesel gained 3.04% to VND20,920.

Global fuel prices fluctuated in the last seven days due to escalating tensions in the Middle East, increasing crude oil reserves in the U.S., and concerns about a real estate crisis in China – the world's leading oil consumer, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

RON95 rose 4.2% to $102.59 per barrel, while diesel went up 3.8% to $105.52.
