Gasoline and diesel prices fell slightly Thursday.

The popular gasoline RON95 dropped 1.04% to VND21,910 ($0.90) per liter.

Biofuel E5 RON92 fell 0.85% to VND21,000.

Diesel declined 2.12% to VND19,360.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance said that the world petroleum market last week fluctuated due to disruptions in supply from Libya.

Protests forced a shutdown of production at the 300,000 barrel per day Sharara oilfield, Reuters reported.

Tension in the Middle East and attacks on vessels in the Red Sea also caused difficulties to shipping and raised costs.

In the last seven days RON92 fell 1% to $87.46 per barrel while RON95 dropped 1.2% to $91.23.
