Time spent exercising with children is valuable: MC Truong Giang

Truong Giang took part in the Citadel area on Saturday, warming up with 2,000 young runners at Kun Marathon Hue 2024, marking the second consecutive year of running with children 6–10 years old in the ancient capital.

He said the 800-meter race starts at 6:45 a.m., earlier than usual, to avoid harsh sunlight that affects the children's health. Parents already took their children to the starting point before 6 a.m.

The actor hopes that parents will take advantage of more chances to accompany their children, especially in running tournaments like the Kun Marathon.

"The time spent exercising with your child is very precious. In just a few years, your child will grow up, have their own interests and joys, and will no longer play and confide in their parents," Giang said.

Giang said that because he is aware that his daughter's childhood is very short, he and his wife, actor Nha Phuong, always take the opportunity to play with her, listen to her tell all kinds of stories in heaven and earth, and answer "1,001 questions why."

When not busy with filming schedules, he and his daughter go to the parks to exercise and explore nature.

According to Giang, jogging not only helps children improve their health, increase resistance, and become more resilient, but also makes them more proactive, bold, and persistent in exceeding their set goals.

In addition to being able to interact with a group of friends with similar interests, the connection between them and their parents is also being shortened.

Giang advises parents to focus on buying running shoes that are lightweight, have good friction, and fit children's feet, and should not choose accessories that are only beautiful and designed specifically for photography purposes.

He said that a 6-year-old girl's shoes were too big and heavy, she fell right after starting.

Giang, born in 1983, is famous for his role as Muoi Kho in the 2011 live show "Buoc chan mien Trung" (Steps of central Vietnam).

From 2015 up to now, he has participated in many reality TV shows, comedy stages, MCs, and acted in movies such as "49 Days" and "Taxi, What's your name?".

He and Nha Phuong got married in 2018 after four years together, now have a four-year-old daughter, and are about to welcome their second child.

Kun Marathon Hue 2024 is an activity on the sidelines of the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2024.

Runners 6–10 years old conquered the 800-meter distance under rows of green trees, passing through a series of colorful obstacles.

Upon completion of the race, the children received medals, medical and nutritional care, and had the opportunity to receive gifts and interact with artists.

In addition, right in front of Ngo Mon Square, the organizers arranged a "Milk Jelly Slide" for children to play and exercise. The program was organized by VnExpress in collaboration with LofKun, a brand of International Dairy JSC (IDP).
