Vietnam is gaining popularity as one of the global leaders in dental tourism due to its affordable, high-quality dental treatments.

Patients from around the world have shared stories of transformed smiles and restored confidence thanks to Vietnam's expertise in handling even the most complex dental cases.

One such case is Nguyen Van Vuong, a 92-year-old Vietnamese-American who has struggled with dental issues for more than two decades.

Despite trying various treatments, his problems persisted, compounded by age-related concerns.

After seeking help from Westcoast International Dental Clinic in Ho Chi Minh City, Vuong found the solution he needed.

The clinic's expert team devised a comprehensive plan that began with extracting infected teeth and placing five implants in the upper jaw and six in the lower.

This was followed by fitting temporary dentures and later completing an aesthetic full-mouth restoration using 11 implants.

Despite the complexities associated with treating older patients, the procedure was successful, allowing him to regain his ability to chew and smile confidently.

The treatment was handled with care and precision and came at a significantly lower cost than similar procedures abroad.

"The doctors took great care of me, and the treatment was painless," Vuong said. "Now I can eat well and smile confidently all the time."

According to the clinic founder Dr. Andrew H.F. Tsang, Vuong was the oldest patient he has ever treated with implants, underscoring the precision and focus required to ensure success.

Another case involved Michael Swift, a 66-year-old American who faced significant dental issues due to six implants made with four different technologies.

After being turned away by multiple clinics in other countries, Swift found hope in Vietnam, where Westcoast's team developed a tailored plan to replace the outdated implants with a custom solution.

After a few months of dedicated treatment, Michael regained a strong and complete set of teeth along with a confident smile.

Karen Hopskin, a long-time patient of Westcoast who received dental implants at the clinic in 2017, faced an unexpected issue six years later and was quoted US$60,000 for treatment in Australia.

To her surprise, Westcoast offered to address the problem free of charge under their warranty.

Vietnam offers advanced dental technology and skilled professionals at prices that are often 30% to 50% less than in Europe or other Southeast Asian countries.

A dental implant that might cost between US$4,500 and US$7,000 in the U.S. or Australia can be obtained for just $1,000-2,000 in Vietnam.

Many clinics also have dentists who have been trained in the U.S., U.K., and other countries, bringing extensive international experience and expertise to their practice.

In Vietnam, Westcoast International Dental Clinic is exemplary for its ability to tackle complex cases, consistently delivering results that exceed expectations.

Each year, thousands of successful restorations are carried out at the clinic, for locals, expatriates, and international visitors.

"Foreign patients come to Westcoast seeking high-end, customized smile makeovers, full mouth rehabilitation, and cost-effective implant dentistry, which is often expensive in their home countries," said Tsang.
