VUS is hosting a series of free webinars which focuses on ELT in the new era of Covid-19 and includes topics on innovative teaching and learning methods.

With the theme "Pushing Boundaries in the World of ELT", the webinars help teachers in the ELT community get updated with the newest and most practical trends, methods, and techniques to deliver their lessons the most effectively.

The series includes 10 sessions, delivered by invited ELT experts from VUS and well-known leading educational organizations every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m., starting on Thursday, July 1, and closing with a panel discussion session on Aug. 3, 2021.

Participating in a series of conferences, employees in the field of English education in the region will learn how to identify new problems and equip themselves with skills and knowledge for a new journey in "The next normal."

VUS TESOL Webinars 2021 brings together experts from leading educational institutions like Cambridge Assessment English, Cambridge University Press, E-future, Macmillan Education, MM Publications, National Geographic Learning, Oxford University Press, Studycat, and VUS.

In the session "Engaging Activities Using CPTS online" held on July 1, Rudi Cohen from National Geographic Learning Vietnam looked at using the classroom presentation tool and its functions to create truly engaging activities that get students involved and contribute to the lesson experience. Teachers left with several practical ideas for how to use CPTs and Zoom together for immediate use in class.

EFL teachers face various challenges in their classrooms. One of which is knowing what to do with a class of students with varying English levels and acknowledging that not all students learn the same way. The session "Differentiated Instruction in the English Classroom: How can you do it?" was held on July 6, offering an approach to both the book and activities based on a satisfactory learning experience.

Other topics will introduce a variety of practical and flexible teaching skills for EFL teachers, including visible thinking routines, creating 'minds on' learning, understanding automatic assessment of speaking, and assessing online learning.
