Red carpet awash with celebs attending 2021 Vietnam Int’l Fashion Week

Vietnamese celebrities came out in style on the opening night of Vietnam International Fashion Week after it got postponed due to Covid.

The collection marks the opening of the Vietnam International Fashion Week in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 21. Tuan is well known for women’s ready-to-wear designs which were introduced at multiple fashion shows at home and abroad.

Model Vu Thu Phuong wears outfits inspired by traditional Vietnamese style. According to Le Thi Quynh Trang, president of the fashion week, the event, themed "Shining Life," will bring hope and optimism to attendees.
"It’s time for us tostandtogether to help the Vietnamese fashion industry, which has been negatively affected by the pandemic, to overcome tough times. I believe Vietnamese fashion will revive strongly," Trang said.

The fashion week was supposed to take place at a venue in District 1, later used as a quarantine facility for Covid patients. Organizers later changed the location to a new venue in District 3.

The fashion event will include charity auctions for designs to raise funds toward providing medical supplies to Covid-19 treatment facilities and supporting needy people and children orphaned by Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held in 2014, and quickly became the leading fashion event in ASEAN.
