I’m seeking permission from my in-laws to reside with my mother

At the age of 24, I have started my own family. Both my husband and I are only children, and our mothers, who are both single, have raised us on their own.

My husband and I were married over a year ago, and since then, I’ve been living in my husband’s family home. This separation from my mother, who is now past 60, leaves me deeply saddened, especially thinking of her alone in the home where we once lived together.

Yet, I am unsure how to persuade my husband and his mother to agree to live closer to my mother.
