HCMC organizes first international photo contest

Ho Chi Minh City International Photo Contest 2021 has opened to photographers from around the globe.

The contest, organized by Ho Chi Minh City Photographic Association (HOPA), the Photographic Society of America (PSA), Image Sans Frontiere (ISF), and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA), features four sections, including open color, open monochrome, travel, and daily life.

Each contestant can submit a maximum of four photos per section, with a total 16 photos. They can submit until Oct. 15 via the contest website.

Photos that have not won any previous prizes or been displayed at exhibitions organized in Vietnam are eligible for entry.

They will be viewed by domestic and international experts, including Yousuf Tusha of Bangladesh and André Torè of France.

A ceremony to announce the winners and an exhibition are scheduled to take place on Nov. 30 in Ho Chi Minh City. Organizers will grant a total of 121 sponsored prizes for the event.
