According to Tien Phong Newspaper, after the pageant committee announced Noinonthong’s removal on Sunday, she and Kanchi, the provincial director of Miss Grand Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan, appeared on a Thai television program on Tuesday to appeal for a chance to retain her title.
A lawyer joined the live broadcast to clarify legal matters. The lawyer asked Noinonthong whether she had been aware that her contract prohibited explicit photos or videos. She admitted she had not read the contract and was unaware of this clause. The lawyer also warned that she could face up to three years in prison, leaving Noinonthong visibly shocked.
"I don’t want to go to jail," she said.
Kanchi suggested consulting with Nawat Itsaragrisil, president of Miss Grand International and national director of Miss Universe Thailand, regarding the possibility of reinstating her crown.
"If Kanchi wants to give Suphannee Noinuanthong a chance to retain her title, I will try to discuss and reconsider," Itsaragrisil responded. "The decision ultimately rests with Kanchi."
Currently, Itsaragrisil’s team plans to hold further discussions with the provincial pageant committee and provide a final decision to the public as soon as possible.
According to Thaiger, the finale of the 2026 Miss Grand Prachuap Khiri Khan pageant took place on Saturday, with Noinonthong winning the title and set to compete in the national contest alongside representatives from 76 other provinces.
Following her coronation, videos surfaced on social media showing Noinonthong wearing pink, see-through clothing while dancing in front of a camera. In some clips, she appeared to smoke an e-cigarette and apply lipstick to various parts of her body.
In response, Noinonthong posted on Facebook, apologizing to the pageant organization and her supporters. She admitted to previously participating in nude photoshoots and videos, explaining that financial hardship compelled her to take part in such work to care for her bedridden mother, who has since passed away.
"This incident has been a valuable lesson, making me fully aware of the responsibility that comes with every action," she wrote. "I am committed to improving myself and ensuring that such incidents do not happen again."
The 2026 Miss Grand Thailand pageant is scheduled for March 2026 in Bangkok. The winner will go on to represent the country at the Miss Grand International 2026 pageant.
