In a recent appearance on the reality show "See You Again" on Mango TV, 49-year-old Lin explained that she is not the "keeper of the family finances," as she and her husband maintain financial independence. Lin emphasized that it is not about who manages the money, but rather the importance of dedicating time to taking care of the home and children.
Over the course of their nine-year marriage, Lin shared that the couple has never had serious disputes, only minor disagreements, which she considers a natural part of any relationship. As they have matured together, they have also become better at managing their tempers. The couple has made it a rule to avoid arguing in front of their eight-year-old daughter Amelia. They wait until she is asleep to discuss and resolve any issues.
This is Lin’s first appearance on a reality show focused on marriage and family. The show features a range of guests, including economic experts, psychologists, and actors and singers. Lin expressed that she hopes to gain new insights and more experience in navigating her relationship with her partner while building a stronger family.
Lin and Huo’s wedding took place in 2016 in Indonesia, with close family and friends such as Shu Qi, Vicki Zhao, Fan Bingbing, Liu Shishi, Nicky Wu, Zhou Xun, and Liu Tao in attendance. The couple had been friends for 10 years before becoming romantically involved and eventually marrying.
At an event last year, Lin shared that her marriage is "not as romantic as an idol drama," but rather simple, warm, and full of sharing. The couple works together to care for their daughter, taking her to school and outings. They balance their work schedules while ensuring they spend quality time with Amelia.
The couple has no plans to have more children. This year, Huo is working on a short film, while Lin is reading scripts and selecting actors for a project she plans to begin filming by the end of the year.
Lin began her career in acting in 1995 with a minor role and quickly developed a passion for the craft. She gained fame for her role as Xia Ziwei in the TV series "My Fair Princess." In 2009, she founded her own studio and has since produced both TV dramas and films.
Huo, 46, began his career in the entertainment industry at the age of 17 as an assistant to Taiwanese TV host Sam Tseng and later rose to prominence with the 2003 TV drama "At Dolphin Bay."
