According to News1, the actor’s younger brother shared the news on his social media account on Monday.
"My beloved brother has rested," he wrote. "I hope everyone can come and accompany him on his final journey."
Park Min Jae’s funeral will take place at Seoul National University Hospital on Wednesday.
A representative from the actor’s management company Big Title expressed shock over the incident, revealing that he had mentioned at the end of November that he would be spending a month traveling.
"Min Jae, even though we worked together for a short time, I’m grateful to have been your manager," the representative wrote. "I am deeply saddened."
Park Min Jae suddenly suffered cardiac arrest on Nov. 29 and could not be revived. His family is in the process of arranging for his body to be brought back to South Korea.
He was well-known for his portrayals of supporting roles in films and TV series such as Numbers, Little Women, The Fabulous, Say It’s Love, Look, and Tomorrow.
In addition to his work in film and television, Park Min Jae was also active in theater.
